February 28th (Sunday), 2010
- Acoustic Eidolon and "a
friend" - this time Joe and Hannah are
bringing with
them one of the folks they tour with in Europe, Thomas Loefke -
he is the Celtic
harpist from Berlin, Germany that they tour
Europe with every October. The show would still be
based
on Acoustic Eidolon's music, as they typically have Thomas join
in on some of their tunes,
play together on some of his tunes,
and do a portion of the show just as Acoustic Eidolon, the duo.
The show they do with him has a strong emphasis on the Celtic
sound and is somewhat different
than the normal AE show that
they've done here in the past.
It is a combination that has been earning them much acclaim in
Europe over the last 7 years that
they've been doing shows in
collaboration with Thomas. Joe and Hannah have brought him
to the
US for their big annual Colorado shows in the past, but
would really like to share a tour with him
and thought that the
Florida venues would be a wonderful and appreciative place to
showcase their
European-version show with Thomas.
Thomas has multiple CDs available, and tours Europe with his
group called Norland Wind,
which features such acclaimed members
as the Doogan brothers (Enya's uncles), and
Maire Brennauch, the
original fiddler from Riverdance. He has won international
awards for his
Celtic harp artistry,
